What makes a great wildlife photograph?

Well, great subjects are essential but so are great photographic techniques.

Mogo Zoo is now offering you an opportunity to take great wildlife photographs. Not only does the zoo have great subjects, but it will provide a professional nature photographer to help participants gain a solid understanding of photographic techniques.

You will learn the procedures used by the pros to capture stunning shots. These techniques will prove invaluable in all aspects of your photography.

Will you get close to the animals?

Mogo Zoom - Testimonials

"More than a photographic experience - it was a life experience"

"Everyone made us feel part of the 'zoo family' for the day. Welcoming us and really trying to make sure we had the best day we could have, - keepers putting the food in the best available light, waiting to let animals out till we got to that area, alerting us if something special was happening - all with a smile "

"Felt like I had run away and joined the zoo for a day - fabulous"

"Amazing what a difference a few meters of access can make to your photos !!"

Cheers,
Ollie

WOW....what an amazing photographic experience, up close to some of the most beautiful animals in nature.

June will instruct and inspire you to take the best animal shots that you have ever taken. She is such a passionate and experienced teacher in this area of photography.

I learnt how to use the light and compose my photos, set shutter speeds, aperture, to take close ups of animals through the wire and via portholes......amazing experience to be so close. The feedback from June was invaluable and assisted me greatly.

This 2 day workshop has given me a new level of confidence with my camera. I was also impressed Clive's passion and the care and attention to ensure the animals were not intimidated by the group being so close. The Zoo itself is immaculate and beautiful to walk around.

Thanks to Mogo Zoomers for sharing your passion, experience and knowledge, one of the best instructed workshops I have ever attended and I look forward to returning.....for now I will have to be content with the photo of Lari I took on the Mogo Zoomers workshop.

I found the two day Mogo Zoom Photographic Experience presented by June Andersen to be an extraordinary opportunity to hone my photographic skills. The on-site workshop At Mogo Zoo prepared me for the challenges of wildlife photography, and then I found that the Zoo Management had made camera positions available that were not usually available to the public. Newly fabricated camera ports were cut in wire enclosures, unusual positions presented to maximise the great light, and in-enclosure encounters that were to dream of.

There is no wonder that my photographic memories were way beyond my expectations.

I would unreservedly recommend this course to beginners, keen photographers and professionals.

There was so much to learn and so much learnt. I will be back.
