Snow at Mogo Zoo... Well, Snow Leopards!
Mogo Zoo is busy preparing a new site for two Snow Leopards arriving from Sydney’s Taronga Zoo within the next few weeks. This will be Mogo Zoo’s second Snow Leopard enclosure and will bring our Snow Leopard population to four.
Mogo Zoo has had previous breeding success with Mangar and Lena parenting twin cubs in 1999. The cubs, Bhutan and Sheva, now reside at Canberra’s National Zoo & Aquarium.
Why are we waiting?
Unfortunately Ijumma, the Rothschild Giraffe due to arrive from New Zealand this month, has not yet reached our shores. Transport has been delayed due to unavoidable circumstances...

In Memory
A sad day at Mogo Zoo came last month with the loss of Luke our Brazilian Tapir. Lukey has been ill for some time now and on Vet’s advice was sadly laid to rest on Wednesday 17th June. Luke, aged 17, was companion to San Fran and father to Para and will be missed by all.
Our thoughts go out to Steve and Lynda Lofts for their support of ‘Smiling Lukey’.
