Proud Parents Again!
Mogo Zoo is proud to announce the safe arrival of twin Cotton Top Tamarins born on 25 May 2003. This is the second set of twins for mum Coco and dad Stubby.
The new arrivals will be playmates for big brother Jarado and big sister Icara, both now 7 months old.
You will see them clinging to mums back for the first two weeks and then dad will take over the majority of the care.

Mogo Zoo Reaches New Heights!
After months of hard work the tallest enclosure to ever be built at Mogo Zoo is complete! Located within our Savannah Plains this magnificent green house will make a lovely home for Ijumma, the young male Rothschild Giraffe, coming to us from Orana Park Zoo New Zealand.
Ijumma is undergoing final checks in New Zealand and we expect to welcome him to his new home in the not too distant future. After a 30 day quarantine period at Mogo Zoo, Ijumma will be ready for all to meet.

(Mogo Zoo gratefully acknowledges the contribution of the Commonwealth Government AUSIndustry's Regional Tourism Program towards the construction of the Giraffe House.)
Matchmaking at Mogo Zoo
Geoff and Sandra our adorable brother and sister Golden Lion Tamarins will soon be putting in that extra grooming effort when two new mates arrive from Dublin Zoo, Ireland. One male GLT and one female GLT are ready to embark on the overseas journey to Mogo Zoo and will be paired respectively with Geoff and Sandra to create two new young breeding pairs for the region.
The pair will be quarantined at Sydney's Taronga Zoo for 30 days and will arrive at Mogo Zoo by the end of July 2003.
Knights in Shining Armour
Helmet and Harley, two Pygmy Marmosets, arrived from Taronga Zoo in May to court our lovely female Gwenivere, after the loss of her mate Sir Lancelot in April. The two males have settled in well at Mogo Zoo, with Gwenivere seeming to favour Harley.
In Memory
We say a sad farewell to Sir Lancelot, our elderly Pygmy Marmoset who passed away in April. Sir Lancelot came to Mogo from Perth Zoo ten years ago and was good friend to Lady Gwenivere. Sir Lancelot would have celebrated his 18th birthday in October this year, an extremely old age for a Pygmy Marmoset.
Also sadly we say farewell to Dave, the friendly Oriental Small Clawed Otter who passed away in May. Dave, 12 years old came to us from Taronga Zoo in 1996 and shared a home with girlfriend Buffy and neighbours Bonnie & Clyde.
Sir Lancelot and Dave will be missed by all at Mogo Zoo, especially their keepers Katie and Sandy.
