Spot the little leopards these school holidays

Two bundles of joy have been spotted at mogo zoo, and they will be a great

new addition to see these school holidays.

The two snow leopard's named, Khumbu (male) & Tenzin (female) were born on 12th October, and are fighting fit. They are only the second litter of cubs to be born in Australia in 15 years, both litters being born here at Mogo Zoo, by mother Lena & father Mangar.

Father Mangar aged 15 years was the last born Snow Leopard in Australia apart from his offspring.

We expect the mother Lena will show her treasures to the public late December.
This will be one viewing not to be missed!

Ijuma is roaming his Savannah

The elegant Giraffe Ijuma is now out of quarantine.

He is a little timid at this stage, sticking his neck out of his shed from time to time, slowly trusting his new open plain's home. We hope to have Ijuma out & about late December. Ijuma has been a long awaited delight to join his new home stretch at Mogo Zoo. This has been the biggest animal transportation Mogo Zoo has been involved in, costing $20,000 plus just to get Ijuma to the zoo.

We really have to say a very big thank you to the Coachhouse Marina Resort for all the help they have given Mogo Zoo in bringing Ijuma to his new home.

Sally Padey owner of Mogo Zoo is smitten with Ijuma's eyes, saying, I think if half the models in the world had eyes and lashes like he has they would be worth even more squillions.

We are all so pleased with him settling in at Mogo Zoo so well, he has a beautiful temperament, and is full of character and we hope to have a female coming for him in the near future.

Thank you to Coachhouse Marina Resort (our most recent gold sponsors)
We would like to recognise the efforts and help that the Coachhouse Marina Resort has given Mogo Zoo with Ijuma the Giraffe and helping bring him to his new home.
